Goat meat has many nutritional benefits. While it isn't a staple protein in the United States, it should be! Not only is it delicous, it is lower in calories and fat, lower in cholesterol, high in protein, rich in iron, high in potassium, low in sodium, and much more! Goat may be called a few different things, like Chevon or Cabrito. There are quite a few cultures and religions who use goat during their Easter Sunday dinners. Personally, we love to make meatballs and top to tzatziki sauce! Just don't cook it too long, it is a lower fat meat and can dry out quickly. Low and slow!
